Welcome to GYEAH.com Mix CDs! This column was designed for all us internet junkheads out there who never buy CDs and get them the new fashioned way....illegally. "Illegally" sounds so harsh though, let's just assume that we all own every CD we mention, and we can put this whole legality mess behind us and not let people who know nothing about music (politicians and businesssmen) decide how we should have access to music. But in the meantime, all of us foolios who have a CD burner (and there are alot of us) are always looking for compilation CDs to burn. I know sometimes my creativity runs dry and you can only burn so many different rap CDs. Somedays I wish someone would open me up to a world of different music and just hand me a compilation CD with all the best tracks that I SHOULD be checking out. Well this column was made for that very purpose. We at GYEAH.com have very different musical tastes and we know you do to. But there's always something out there we're missing. So with that in mind, we're going to bring you various Mix CDs that we think you should "download" and burn and play until your CD player falls apart. Well rather than ramble on any more, let's get to the tunes.... Today's Mix CD was brought to you by Vigilante, and here's some info about him:
His Classic Rotation:

To many of you, Vigilante is a very angry person. But in all reality, Vigilante has several emotions that he goes through in the course of an hour..let a lone a minute. Those different emotions and characteristics are displayed from start to finish on this first version of the "Vigilante Anthem". The cd opens with something to get your head knocking, and your car jumping (if you're in one). "Da Rockwilda" is only 2 minutes, so its like an intro to get you in the mood for the rest of the cd. Track 2 is the new song from Bustah Rhymes off of the Violator 2 album. This song will get even the dead to start bouncing..Neptunes hit with another banging beat. The next song slows it down a bit, and goes into ballad mode with Mariah Carey before her skanky hoe ass days. Mariah had many songs I adored from her past, but this one always sticks out for me. It just has that something to string at your heart, and think you'll be young forever. Not sure exactly what it is. Next track continues that same vibe sort of vibe with Dave Matthews Band's, "Space Between". I think I've depressed you guys enough :-)...so we speed it up with some VA flava from the Supafriendz's "Hot, Hot". If you haven't heard of these boys yet...what you sleepin on it for. We then throw in some rock from Limp Bizkit...probably one of their best tracks of all time in "Take A Look Around". After those two energy pumping tracks, we hit a slow point in the album with three hot ass slow tracks. First Timbo and Missy bring the heat with Step Off, then we move to the classic Jewel track "Foolish Games", followed by Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like A Bird", my favorite song of the moment "Can't Believe" from Carl Thomas and Faith Evans, and finally the only song that can make my eyes water no matter what I'm doing..."Come What May" from the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack. To get that emotion out, I put "I Refuse" from Aaliyah's new self titles album. THat song will make anyone sing along with the piano cords and violins blazing in the background saying how one refuses to be walked over anymore. Now that I think depression and anger and any other emotion one can muster up is on the brink of exploding...I come through with a get hype track of all get hype tracks "Is That Yo Bitch". And not the version of the song that exludes Twista. Then we move to the track that should be called "Vigilante's theme song". How it happens is the track that just covers all bases, and tells the truth about why people get f*ck*d up. I think a lot of people missed this next cut, but its one of the hottest female tracks out there..and Timbaland did the beat. I just can't stop listening to it. Can't have a Vigilante lp without Eminem on it somewhere...so I put one of the tracks form his last album that wasn't a single..but was just as hot as everything else. And I close the album off on Angel & Vigilante's song for life..yeah its sappy..but live with it bastards. Well, theres my first entry into the realm of the Gyeah.com Mix CD world. These are some of the songs that I currently see as worthy of taking up three to four minutes of my time per day, and I think they should be a welcome addition to yours. Either that or you can just continue to listen to your Rick Springfield tapes while you iron your Hammer pants. Toodles.
