Someone's Gotta Be The Asshole

- Same Saturday routine, eh Jake? Yeah,
just the way you like it, keep yourself in this miserable little stupor as long as you
want.
"Hey slap nuts, you gonna come or not?" Steve
asks, his voice scattering my internal bitchings.Wha...come where?" My words manage
their way out, along with a stream of smoke. Steve won’t even dignify my question
with an answer. He just sits there on the balcony instead, taking a final drag from his
cigarette before flicking the butt over the railing and down into some poor grunt’s
truck bed. I still think he looks too much like Ponch from "Chips" to ever be
taken seriously. It usually makes me laugh, just looking at him, but this time I answer
with a straight face.
