IN CONCLUSION: After
looking at this month's charts, the theme should be "nothing lasts." Just look
at how many of the entries on this moment's charts were unranked last month. It's
staggering to see that no one can seem to hang on to any momentum except for the top
entries on each chart. But even some top dogs have completely disappeared: NCAA Football was on a massive
reign on the videogame list, but this month it's completely AWOL. I blame the BCS! Grand
Theft Auto 3 took NCAA's place, to zero surprise to anyone. The only question is how long
will it's reign last. Speaking of long reigns, in the history of GYEAH.com Hot Lists only
one movie (The Matrix) has been #1 that isn't named "Memento" or "Fight Club." The
dominance of those two movies in your DVD players and minds is just plain incredible.
Fincher and Nolan are considered gods around this part of the internet. Other Hot Lists
stables are certainly Britney Spears and
Cameron Diaz. Both women are ALWAYS in the top few spots of the Women Hot Lists, but they
finally have a challenger in the form of latin sensation, Shakira. GYEAH Staff member Hoss has been campaigning hard for votes for
Shakira, and he almost wrangled up enough to get her the top spot...maybe next month.
Finally, before we go, we have to look at the Hottest and Coldest of the month. The
Detroit Lions are hands down the coldest thing in the world aside from an Eskimo in a
freezer eating ice cream naked. Their polar opposite is Bubba Sparxxx, who came out of
nowhere to claim the top spot in the music charts. Is Bubba K here to stay, or will the
charts continue their shakeup next month? It's all up to you! Make sure to get your votes in all through December!!! |
