Society and Homosexuals.

A Story by

Vigilante

With this recent commotion concerning Eminem’s homophobic lyrics, the ol’ Vigster here began to think about society as a whole and the way they interact with homosexuals. It appears to me that Eminem is being pointed at as the starter of these homophobic tendencies. Like he pulled those thoughts and feelings out of his ass, and no one else in the world feels that way. But because he’s got some money and a high status...let’s pin everything on him. That’s funny, and continues to show me how f’d up America really is. Eminem, like many people, don’t mean gay, queer, or fag as a derogatory term towards homosexuals. It’s just a word that has been taken in by society as a word that is interchangeable with the word weak or whack. If I was to say, "Stalker acts very gay sometimes". That doesn’t mean he often times finds himself staring at my ass, it just means he’s a dumb ass and does some whack things sometimes. I’m not saying using those words is a good thing, but it’s also not on the fault of a solo person. It’s the fault of society as a whole.

A homosexual is characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex. Heh, that’s very interesting to me. Anyone else notice how f’n bias Americans are towards homosexuals. Male homosexuals are considered to be created by Satan himself. They are treated like crap, and any form of relations between two males is considered as the most disgusting thing on Earth. Yet when two girls, lesbians is the correct term but still defined as homosexuals, are seen being intimate its considered the greatest gift God has given us since Jesus! I’m guilty of it myself, but why is that? Am I the only one who actually realizes that lesbians and homosexual males are one in the same? Yet heterosexual men and women look down upon homosexual males, and praise homosexual females. They give them their own specials on cable TV, have playboy magazines dedicated to girlfriends, and treat female homosexuality as if its an art form. Why is it that American’s can so easily except lesbians, but struggle their ass off with gay men? I’ll tell you why. From birth, generation to generation fathers (as well as mothers) tell their children that boys being with boys is the worst thing known to man. If you do that, or consider that…you’re going to hell. Who the hell is going to argue with their parents when they tell you that? You’re going to continue to believe that, and what is instilled in you as a child is going to be with you forever. Are we really in any position to judge the lifestyle of others? I don’t remember reading about any of us in the bible? I know there are scriptures that say God is against homosexuality, but he also is an all-forgiving being. If he can forgive people for murder, and various other more pertinent sins, then why wouldn’t he forgive a man for trying to gain his happiness? Unfortunately, he can never be happy because in our world homosexual men are considered to be the devil’s right hand man. Sad it is.

On the flip side, homosexual women are like precious candy. As young men, boys are shown things and told by their fathers, TV, and movies how great it would be for women to be together. They think its great. Unlike the young boys being told about other boys, girls aren’t told about not being with other girls. They figure things out on their own, and often times curiosity festers inside them. Unlike males who might have that curiosity, they aren’t told to shut that side of them off because it’s not THAT bad. Sure lesbians have quite a few people who disagree with it, but its far more accepted in America for females to be with one another than it is for males. Anywhere from national television to MTV music videos, women are seen caressing on each other. Its considered erotic (and I say I am turned on by it also)…but we have fallen into the cycle that our great society has created for us.

So people, it’s not fair to judge Eminem by his lyrics. He’s just following what the rest of society has set up for him. Just because he’s a public figure doesn’t mean he’s God. He’s human too folks, and like Eminem…the entire society needs to work on the way they look at homosexuals. Rather it is homosexual males or homosexual females; I feel each person has a right to their own life and their own happiness. There’s no difference between them. We need to stop doing the judging, and put that right back in the hands of which it truly belongs…God.
