| Timothy McVeigh, a
man who certainly has no love lost from anyone here at Gyeah.com. Vigilante here could
personally care less what happened to the poor excuse for a human being. But something
seriously bothers me about the whole way America got behind the death penalty. Was
anything really accomplished by the death of Timothy McVeigh? Did the 168 people that he
killed suddenly come back the second he was sent into the afterlife? I don't think so. So,
was the execution of Timothy McVeigh a service of justice...or another form of American
vengeance? Many people had their wishes passed this
past Monday, but for what? To give a man the easy way out from the devestation he has
brought to so many lives. McVeigh killes 168 people, and for that he doesn't have to
suffer in prison and think about what he did....be beaten within inches of his life on a
regular basis by prison inmates, or even becoming someone's prison bitch. He gets the easy
way out, and gets sent straight to afterlife. I'm sorry, but for me this seems severely
unfair to those that lost their lives in Oklahoma. Those people that died in Oklahoma went
through pain, and suffered during their deaths. Yet McVeigh had the honor of being put
straight to sleep. No longer does he have to live with the deaths of those people on his
hand. Now, he's in God's hands (or Satan's) and in those places what he did is no longer a
thought.
America has once again proven that 'eye for an eye'
mentality we have etched in the skull of every human. It doesn't matter if the killer
would be punished more with a slow and painful death while in prison. No, no...he killed a
lot of our people and waged a 'war' against our government. Let's return the favor, and put
this guy out of his misery. That would be fine and dandy, if he was in misery. But he
wasn't given any time to think about what he did. He did it, and he got his punishment. We
gave him EXACTLY what he wanted. Like most muderers, they kill expecting to either
kill themselves after their rampage or be killed by the government. We fell right into the
vision cycle...yeah for America.
In the end, the war McVeigh had stacked against the
goverment has come to a final curtain. The results...nothing more than number 169 to add
to the disaster of Oklahoma City.
