Is That a Hanging
Midget?!?
A Story by
Hoss |
A Pepsi can sitting
on a rock in "The Ten Commandments"? Wasn't the Wizard of Oz's doorman's
mustache pointing up just a minute ago? These are just a couple of examples of a mainstay
in almost every movie, the 'flub'. Flubs are evident in almost any film from "The
Matrix" to "Rocky". I have compiled a Top Ten List of Movie Flubs so that
next time you view the movie, you can check them out.
10. THE ADDAMS FAMILY
Remember the chutes that say "Wednesday" and "Pugsly"? Well when
Fester is chasing Wednesday they magically change positions.
9. TOP GUN
When Charlie first shows up for class she is wearing high heels.
But when she is walking out of the building with Tom Cruise's
character "Maverick;" she is wearing flat-heeled shoes, to make up
for Cruise being a midget. Oops I meant "little people".
8. TWISTER
Although the movie is supposed to be set in Oklahoma, the roads
are marked with Texas road signs. (I know who really cares but
still).
7. HOME ALONE
If the phone lines are broken, how in the world did Kevin order
The pizza from "Little Nero's" (lets go fools I even caught that).
6. THE MATRIX
The movie is set in America so ground shots show cars driving on
the right side of the road. But on aerial shots the cars are
driving on the left side of the road. ( I found a lot of flubs in
"The Matrix". In fact there were more in "The Matrix" than any
other movie I was looking at) P.S. Watch for the cameraman in the
sunglasses of some of the characters.
5. THE SHINING
The scene where Jack's character is running after the kid in the
hedge maze there is snow on the ground and hell its Colorado.
So why cant you see their breaths? Simply amazing.
4. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN
The scene where the angry mob is chanting "kill the monster" one
of the villagers doesn't have a torch and runs into a tree. HAHA
Now that's comedy!
3. THE TITANIC
The painting "Water-Lillies" by Claude Monet was featured in
this movie. But the painting wasn't even started until 1916.
Four years after the sinking of the "Titanic".
2. THE SHAWSHANK REDMEPTION
In the scene when the prison guard shoots the inmate who knows
who Andy's killer is, you hear only 3 shots. But if u look at
the back of the inmate there are 4 bullet holes.
1. Last but not least
THE WIZARD OF OZ
Contrary to popular belief the producer of the movie did not
hang himself in the background of one of the forest scenes.
Several sources that I have looked at say that the "Hanging
Corpse" is actually a bird of some sort. But hey, check it out,
opinions are good.
Well folks that's about it for the Top Ten. For these and more examples visit www.movie-mistakes.com. Trust me you'll spend
hours there looking for your favorite movies. Special thanks to Lacey B. For turning me on
and turning me on to my new obsessive disorder: Looking for movie flubs. |
