The
latest WWF ppv has come and gone, but has this ppv lived up to all the expectations it has
been hyped on? Or does it falter like most of the things associated with the WWF today?
Let's just say that the WWF needs to do a lot more than get rid of one of these factions
to make a decent organization. They need to loose all of them.
European Championship
Christian vs. Al Snow
Summary: Added during Sunday Night heat, Christian and Al
Snow put on a nice little starting match here. Christian starts the match off badmouthing
the people of Greensboro and the people of the WWF. This match goes back and forth, but
after about 10 minutes. Christian slaps on the finisher for the basic win.
Winner: Christian

Backstage Altercation
Stephanie and Shane, with the rest of the
Alliance members in the match, confront Austin about his behaviors on Smackdown when he
returned a smile with Vince. They ask if he's the one who's going to turn on the Alliance
tonight.
Grade: A
Vince and Linda
Vince and Linda discuss Linda's feelings
about her children and how they may be out of job by the end of the night. Mike Cole then
asks them how do they feel about the chance how they may lose tonight. Vince then says
that he has an ace up his sleeve, and that tonight there are 6 WWF team members and 4
alliance members. Then Regal comes in, and babbles on about how he isn't falling for
Vince's mind games. Who cares if he isn't falling for it?
Grade: B
William Regal vs. Tajiri
Summary: This match pissed me off. I was looking forward
to it so much, and it was a quick squash. After a couple of Tajiri kicks here an there
(one of which causes Regal to bleed from the nose), Regal takes advantage and gets the
quick one, two, three. Regal then does some after the match antics on Tajiri's neck. Tori
Wilson then comes down to check on Tajiri, and gets a powerbomb from Regal as well. The
Alliance is up 2-0.
Winner: Regal

Test Promo
Test says some vain things in front of a
mirror, and then hits on Stacey with some very weak game. Why is this on television.
Grade: F
Edge Promo
Edge does a hilarious promo about Test. He
says they are virtually the same. They are both tall, they both have nice little first
names. The difference is that Test has been dumped by every girl he has ever been with.
How true.

Edge vs. Test
Summary: Test takes this match under his control at first,
using his power to take toll on Edge. However, his cocky behavior leads him to succumb to
Edge's quick pace and fast maneuvers. After Test goes to get some air, Edge hits him with
a baseball slide that sends things outside. Test quickly switches the momentum back though
as Test once again regains power over Edge. During the middle of the match, Test puts Edge
in a sitting surfboard in the middle of the ring, and the crowd in Greensboro gets behind
him Edge as he breaks loose and takes it to the top turnbuckle sending both men to the
floor.
Test quickly gets back to his feet, and tries for a quick
count. Edge kicks out, and ends up going back to the top...but misses his mark. Test then
slows the match down (to his liking) and takes out more strength from Edge. Edge sits on
the top rope dazes, as Test goes over to capitalize. He tries to powerbomb Edge off the
turnbuckle..but Edge reverses it. Test then climbs to the top rope and tries (for some
damn reason) a high risk maneuver..but Edge counters it with a drop kick to the
sternum. Both men lay on the ground till a 6 count, and then Test tries to get the
Pumphandle in. But it is reversed. Test then takes a page out of Edge's book, and spears
him. But Edge kicks out.
Test slaps on the Pump handle slam, but by the grace of
God...Edge kicks out.Test tries a powerbomb, but it is reversed with a head scissors take
down. Edge then spears Test, but he kicks out on 2. Test goes for a grapple move,
and Edge rolls him up for the 1, 2, 3. Edge is the new unified champion.
Winner: Edge

Steph Bitches
The big tittied million dollar princess
realizes that if the Alliance loses tonight, she'll become a regular person. And she will
have to do everything by her self. Angle re-assures her that everything will be ok, and
that he will make sure that even if Austin is the one that switches. He will have to deal
with Kurt. Does anyone else see where this is going?
Grade: D
Hardyz Promo
Lita asks Jeff if anything was strange with
Matt. He then comes in and cuts a weak promo about how he is nervous about losing a
job,and that this match means so much to him because if they win. They automatically have
a job, regardless of if the WWF wins or not. Then Trish is seen coming out of the Team WWF
lockeroom....

Cage Match
Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz
Summary: This match is pretty textbook in
the beginning. The Dudleyz are having their way with the Hardyz. All the high risk moves
have taken their toll, and with the exception of Jeff trying to leave the cage (thought
both team members have to exit) the Hardyz have had no effect on the Dudleys at all.
Somehow, Matt finds a way out of the ring but leaves his bro in the ring. Jeff climbs the
top of the cage, but instead of leaving the ring. He does a swanton bomb off the top of
the cage into a table that Bubbah Ray moves off of. Sending Jeff crashing through, and
needing a stretcher to leave the arena. Needless to say...the Hardyz lose. If it wasn't
for that Swanton bomb though..this match would be one big bore.
Winners:Dudleys Unify the titles.

Test Jumps Scotty 2 Hotty
Backstage, Test jumps and beats the hell out
of Scotty 2 Hotty. I say this is for his position in the immunity rumble.
Grade: B
Immunity Invitational Battle
Royal
Summary: I was right. :-) Well I think my
prediction of Lance Storm would have come true. However, with the previous incident
happening backstage. Its pretty much set in stone who's taking this baby. Test wins in a
pretty straightforward rumble, that saw more people going over the ropes than moves being
done inside the ring. The final four were Billy Gunn, Terry Bradshaw, Test, and Lance
Storm.
Winner: Test
Grade: D
Women's Championship
Jacqueline vs. Trish Stratus vs. Lita vs. Mighty Molly vs. Ivory vs. Jazz
Summary: This match starts out with Jazz
jumping Lita before the bell rings. Some stuff happens between then, but because I wasn't
paying much attention...I have no clue what. I do know that when the minute was up. Trish
was the person declared a winner. Odd, as she is the only non wrestler out of the bunch
Winner: Trish Stratus

Booker and Shane
Booker tells Shane that he is not sure about
Austin, cause he's always talking about DTA (Don't trust anybody). Shane says he knows
Austin is the one to take them to the promise land.

elimination tag match
Team WWF (The Rock/Chris Jericho/Big
Show/Kane/Undertaker)
vs.
Team Alliance (Austin/Angle/Van Damme/Booker T/Shane
Mchmahon)
Summary: Rock and Austin start the match
off with some rights and lefts. Austin takes control after a lou thez press. Once this
occurs, basically each team rotates one of their team members in and out till it ends up
with Angle and Show being in the ring together.
Angle slaps the Show in the Olympic Slam,
then tags in Booker T who slaps on the scissors kick. Then Van Damme gets the tag as he
slaps show with a Frog Splash, and Shane finishes it off with a Flying Elbow drop. Shane
gets the glory, as he pins Show.
Show is Eliminated
(WWF-4/Alliance-5)
Shane turns to see the Rock, and gets
"rocked". Rock tags in Kane to deliver a Chokeslams. Kane then tags in his
brother, and Taker puts Shane in the Tombstone. After that Jericho gets the tag, and he
does a Lionsault for the 1,2,3.
Shane is Eliminated
(WWF - 4/Alliance - 4)
Jericho begins to get worked on by Angle,
Book, and Van Damme. Kabe and Van Damme start beating on each other. Booker breaks up a
Kane advantage and then all the wrestlers on the apron drop to the outside and start
brawling. During this, Van Damme sneaks in a pin on Kane.
Kane is Eliminated
(WWF-3/Alliance-4)
Taker then enters the ring and dominates
Angle and Austin. Taker puts Angle in the last Ride, but Austin gets a stunner on Taker.
Austin drapes Angle over Taker for the 1,2,3.
Taker is Eliminated
(WWF-2/Alliance-4)
Rock and Booker T start going at it, while
Jericho is laid out outside. Rock rolls Booker T up off gaurd and gets the pin.
Booker T is Eliminated
(WWF-2/Alliance-3)
Jericho has made his way back to the apron,
and gets the tag as Van Damme and Jericho battle it out. After both men switch
control for a bit, Jericho get the pin over Van Damme.
Van Damme is
Eliminated (WWF-2/Alliance-2)
Austin takes Rock out on the outside with a
catapult into the ring post while Angle takes on Jericho on the inside. After a few tags,
Austin and Angle have their way with Jericho. Jericho catches Angle in an ankle lock
, but it is reversed by Angle. Austin keeps Jericho in their corner.
Rock and Angle both enter the ring together.
Rock slaps Angle in the sharpshooter and quickly taps.
Angle is Eliminated
(WWF-2/Alliance-1)
Austin enters, as does Jericho. Austin is
bleeding from the mouth...badly. Jericho goes for a lionsault, but Austin gets both
knees up. Jericho does a missile drop kick, and some chops. Gets a roll up on
Austin, and fails. Austin rolls Jericho up and gets the pin.
Jericho is Eliminated
(WWF-1/Alliance-1)
Austin and Rock go at it. Jericho gets a
cheap shot on Rock and almost costs the match. Taker comes out to check Jericho about his
actions. Meanwhile, in the ring...Austin stays in control, eventually sending Rock over
the top rope with his knee bouncing off the announce table. Rock and Austin switch
back and forth outside. They bring it back in, and Austin slaps on the sharpshooter
in the middle of the ring (And Ross has the nerve to say Austin isn't as proficient as
Rock when it comes to the Sharpshooter...who the fuck are we kidding?) Rock doesn't tap,
and grabs the ropes. Austin leaves the ring for the title.
Rock slaps on the sharpshooter after Austin
misses with a wild swing with the title. Austin grabs the ropes, but Rock drags Austin
back to the middle of the ring. Austin once again gets a hold of the ropes. Rock then
slaps a Stunner on Austin...and both men lay in the middle of the ring.
Rock drapes his hand on Austin...the ref
counts but Nick Hebner pulls him out of the ring. Rock stares down Nick, and Austin slaps
him in the Rock Bottom. Rock kicks out. Both refs are knocked out (thanks to Austin) as he
gets a pin on the Rock. No one is awake to count. Suddenly (as if you didn't see this
coming) Angle returns to the ring, grabs the title, and hits Austin with the title (oh
no...who'd a thunk it?). Rock pins Austin for the match.
Winner: Team WWF - Rock

Overall
Basically, this ppv blew hard. With the
exception of the Edge/Test match, nothing on this card is worth seeing again. I will admit
the Main Event managed to keep my attention for 45 minutes. However, the only reason that
occurred was cause I thought they may do the one thing they are usually known for. And
that's pulling off a surpass. They didn't here, and it really made any impact the match
would've had suffer. The rest of the matches on the card were just too plain short, or
just not necessary at all. Let's hope that next time, the WWF can come back with a little
more Vengeance.
