| I was
seriously dissapointed in K-ci and Jojo's second album, especially after their first
one was one of the greatest R&B albums of all time. How does the duo's
third venture fit in? Let's take a look shall we...Honest Lover This song takes 2 minutes of background talking and moaning before the song
can actually start. MY GOD..SING ALREADY!!! Luckily when it does start, these two boys
show why their R&B's greatest duo. This song is about the boys finding that one
honest lover. In typical K-ci and JoJo standards..this song grows in intensity as the song
goes on.

Wanna Do You Right K-ci leads this track with his Bobby Womack-ish voice, and he lets
us have it on this slow grooving track about how he's been doing this girl sooooo wrong
and how he wants her back. Don't front people, you've been in this position before.
Another solid track..this one produced by Teddy Riley.
$1.75
Get Back K-ci and Jojo get a little
freaky on this track, as they are talking to a young lady and telling her that they want
her to "Get Back, and let me get that." Man, I wish those lines really worked in
real life. :-) Yet another solid track, and one to add to the list of music you can play
while gettin your groove on.
$1.40
Crazy Bullseye!!! K-ci and Jojo
have a hit on their hands here. This song is beautiful, and is what K-Ci and Jojo do
best. This song talks about how crazy they go without their girl. First Single.
$3.00
Game Face Timbaland lays down the
beat for this track, as K-Ci and Jojo pick up the pace 100 times on this track. This song
is basically a get hype song for the duo, and it works. Timbaland can make a beat for
anyone, and its hot. Catchy hook..
"Don't leave home without my game face on."
$2.00
Thug N
Me/Thug N U (ft. 2pac) Um...isn't
Pac dead?!? Then how the hel....eh...nevermind. This track is hot, freaky ish...like a
sequel to "How do you want it?". Those of you who miss pac, he has two (lengthy)
verses on here.
"A thug nigga like me, need a thug lady like you.
Gotta lotta thug in me, that I wanna put in you."
$2.10
If It's
Going To Work Anyone
who's having trouble in their relationship..listen to this song. Its about trying to get
the relationship back together to make it work. Another build up song which explodes at
the end...if you have any kind of heart. This is going to get to you.
$2.00
All The
Things I Should Have Known
Is that Babyface I hear in the background...yep...yep that's him. This definately
has his touch on it, and we know that and R&B song with Babyface's touch..is
well...certified Gold. This talks about how he listened to the wrong people in his
decision towards his relationship, and he'll do anything to get thing back now that he
knows all the things he should have known.
$2.00
I Just
Can't Find The Words On this track, the boys
take it back to an old school time r&b song where guitars can be heard in the
background. This song reminds me of something one of the old boys like Johnny Taylor or
Marvin Gaye would have kicked out. Definately has an old school feel to it, but its all
good. These boys have voices from the old school.
$1.50
Something
Inside of Me Another nice ballad here where
the duo sings that there's something inside their soul waiting to burst out and express
itself. Not as good as some of the other tracks here, but not horrible either.
$.80
One Last
Time Another
solid ballad from the duo, this time telling them that they need one last time to make
their female realize that its him she should stay with.
$1.00
Suicide
Whoa...um..even this one is a little too deep
for me. Here the duo says they can't make it without the girl in their life. This one is a
little too much for me, and I can't really get into this one.
"I never thought, I loose my pride. I never thought
of suicide, until you took your love away."
Wait, what's that? A "hidden" bonus track
called "Slip n Fall"? Well I'll be...wait..no..say it ain't so..say it ain't
SOOOO!!! JODECI!?!? GOD NO!! MAKE IT STOP!!! I agree with all people that Jodeci was good
in their day. I mean you'll never here to many songs like Feenin ever again. But K-Ci and
Jojo are the singers of the group, they can do the same with or without Dalvin (pretty boy
for the girls) and DeVante Swing (Ok producer). Oh well, I guess the fates have already
sealed it. This song is ok, Jodeci could've made a better return impression than this.
$.90
Ooh Yeah
This song goes to the biters of K-Ci and
Jojo's style. Those that have hated, and copied..this one's for you. Its a very good song,
and has a nice little hook sung by K-ci's little girl. Its a very infectious song.
$1.50
I Just Can't
Leave I didn't think there was going to be a
song on this album that I just don't like at all....well..I was wrong. What kind of Bonus
Track is this. Since you survived such a great album, we're going to give you a bonus of
our weakest track? Um..sure..that makes sense.
$.05
Crazy (Remix) Other than a few
"Roger Troutman" type voicebox distortions here and there. What the hell makes
this a remix. The beat is the same, the chorus is the same. Had the original
versionn of this song not been so great...I would be very pissed at this
"remix". Next time, if you're not going to do anything..don't even put it
on here.
$.50
This album is solid, all across the board (with the
exception of those two bonus tracks which I am not sure will necessarily be on the
American release). It doesn't surpass their original album...but its as close as its going
to get. And gets them over that disaster that was there sophmore jinx. If you're an
R&B fan, new school or old...this is definately an album you need to check out.
