A Review by

Vigilante

Nelly, a man that you either are going to love, or hate. Lucky for me, and my sanity..its the latter. Nelly is one of many who have bastardized the hip-hop community with his "music". However, because I am a movie/music reviewer here for Gyeah.com...I had to review this album. Time to slap on the gloves, I'm going in...pray for me.

Just For You (Intro Poem) Um...a  poem said by a lady that supposed to be saying something worthwile, but isntead makes a f'd up way to start an album.

$.00

S.T.L. Like always, the beat is off the chain. On this track the Lunatics "rap" about St. Louis....what else can they rap about people? Unfortunately, nothing that just break this track from the traditional crap that Nelly sings about. It appears that all the Lunatics have the same problem with making every line of their verse sound the same, so that it will sound like they are rhyming. Hot beat on worthless talent.

$1.00

Okay Don't know the name of the Lunatics seperately (save for Nelly), but the opening M.C. on this track is horrible...and it appears the chorus is as well. This a bad song all around.

"I'm like Okay!! Niggaz brought they cars out, thick broads out. All the stars out. We ain't been here 2 minutes mommy already yellin what a nigga gon do wit it. Can we hop in da infinny." - Lunatics

$.10

King of the City – Nelly, and the rest of the Lunatics, does their normal rap/singing rhyme where all the lines end the same way even though the words don't normally rhyme together. The beat is pretty hot, and if you like Nelly tracks you might like this. But the fact that Nelly can't rap, and doesn't rap about anything...this holds this track back from being great. Here, they talk about how they are the King of the city.

$1.00

Skit Hehe, funny ass skit where a man calls his baby's mom and finds out from his baby girl who's all over there, and then once he finds out he rips her a new asshole. Best track so far.

$.80

Boom D Boom  – LOL...this is a corny ass song where they talk about how the Lunatics make the beats thats make your room shake and go boom D boom. They're right about the beat, too bad it has nothing to do with their lyrical abilities...and Nelly ain't even on this track.

$.20

"The double beats stands for the boom d boom. Lunatics make some beats got ya shakin da room. So what what (bump bump), what what. This sh*t bump." - Lunatics

Midwest Swing  –
First single off the album, and its no wonder that it is. It the best thing on it so far. The song still follows Nelly's sad style, but the song's chorus is pretty addictive making the track pretty hot, cept for the third MC messes up the flow of the track. Don't have too many songs that represent the midwest...course I don't know that many people in the midwest that sound this country.

$2.00

Show Em What You Won Another wasted hot beat, this beat is off the hook. I think this album would be a lot different had it been an instrumental. I was feeling this track up until the chorus came, and its way too annoying and repetitive to keep listening.

$1.10

Let Me In Now- Um...Nelly and the Lunatics take the line from one of his previous songs and makes an entire track out of it. Happy, happy, joy joy. I love when rappers aren't afraid to show their lack of originality.

$.20

"Let me in now, let it go. I love it when you make your knees touch your elbows." - Nelly

Dis iz Da Life – Whoever does the beats for the Lunatics and Nelly deserves two awards. One for making such hot beats, and one for putting up with putting wack MC's on his hot beats. Here, the Lunatics talk about how the ways of St. Louis is Da Life.

$.10

Skit #2- Baby Momma 2. The baby's daddy recruits his men to come get those St. Lunatics that are up at his baby momma's house. Pointless.

$.00

Scandalous  – Here the Lunatics rap about how some of the hoes and haters in this world are scandalous. Ain't that the truth, and I believe I have found the second track that is actually enjoyable on this cd.

$1.70

Groovin Tonight (ft. Brian McKnight)I wonder how many guns that had to put up to the head of the great r&b singer McKnight to sing on this track's hook. Oh well, it doesn't matter....the song is only average.

$1.00

Jang A Lang  – A female MC comes through on this very hot beat, and she's very impressive. Unfortunately when she's done, the Lunatics come back in. Here, the chorus (which is the only thing that relates to the title on all these tracks) says they got a new name for niggas with change...jang a lang. HA..HA...HA.

$.50

Skit #3 – Those men come into the baby's momma house, and then bitch out and start asking for the Lunatic's autographs and ish. One of the men says, "You said Lunatics, I thought you was talkin bout some crazy people." Give a nice little chuckle.

$.30

Real Niggaz – Nelly's annoying singing style starts this track off, and completely throws me off from even trying to enjoy this track.

$.10

Here We Come – Nelly's the only one who raps on this track, and supprisingly I like it. Its not something I can listen to often, but listening to it every once in awhile would make this a pretty enjoyable track. The chorus KICKS!

$1.50

Use 2 Love You – On this track, the Lunatics talk about the ish they had to go through to get their record deal.

$.70

Skit #4 – Last skit, and last track. Here the baby's daddy comes back and calls the baby's momma to apologize for his actions.

$.00

If you consider yourself a true hip-hop fan, then you'll probably want to stay as far away from this cd as humanly possible. However, if you find yourself disregarding your senses and enjoying Nelly's type of music..than this album may be for you. I just want to tell you guys that this album is worse than Nelly's album, because there were at least three songs on there that were single worthy. Here, there is only one...and you already here it. Think about it.

Album worth: $12.30

Album price: $14.99
