-REVIEW INTRO-

Mystikal cd's are an aquirred taste, and as of late...they've been leaving an awful taste in anyone's mouth. Apart of that has to do with the association with No Limit Records. Unfortunatley, his last album was absent of just about anything No Limit, and it blew hard. Does this cd continue his downward trend, or is the label switching a sign of a rebirth?

-TRACK RUN-DOWN-

1. Bouncin Back   – WTF?! This is the first single off the album? Oh Lord, Vigilante is in for the longest 14 tracks of his life. This song is the Neptunes and Mystikal sequel to "Shake That Ass". It sounds just like it, but is not nearly as catchy. Is Mystikal even trying anymore? On this song, Mystikal talks about how though he keeps getting knocked down..he gon show the world they ain't seen bouncin back. Whatever.

$.10

2. Tarantula (ft. Butch Cassidy) – Another God awful song from Mystikal, this time with Butch Cassidy stuck on the barely audible hook. In fact, I don't even see why the name Tarantula and the hook even go together other than the fact that Mystikal thinks its cool to throw the name in between the hook pauses.

$.25

3. If it ain't live, it ain't me  – This songs a little better than the rest, but that's not saying much. Mystikal says over this simple beat that basically if ish ain't hype as hell, then he ain't got nothing to do with it. I think Mystikal has been hanging with No Limit to long, there wackness has rubbed off on him.

$1.00

"If it ain't live, it ain't me. I'm too deaf to lose a step. I'm too shy to slip and side. I'm too hard to fall apart. Too cold to get old. I'm too hip to trip." - Mystikal

4. Settle The Score (ft. Juvenile)Juvy did the beat on this one, and Mystikal and Juvy say that they both were got (by their record labels) and that they are now both on their own ready to settle the score. This song was just decent, but Juvy on the hook push it up to another level. (I can't believe I just said that.)

$2.75

5. Pussy CrookThis song is cornier than shit, but since its about pussy. One has to be inlcined to recite the words right along with Mystikal.

$1.25

"Show me what you workin with. But if yo pussy smellin shrimpy hoe. Get yo fuckin shirt and shit" - Mystikal

6. OOOOOH Yeah  – Another sex track from Mystikal, but the beat and Mystikal matching it makes this song tolerable. I jsut wish he could come up with a song about something other than pussy or fuckin.

$1.25

7. Big Truck Driver  – A song to those people in the SUV's. I'm not sure who's responsible for the beat, or who sings the chorus. But this song is pretty damn sweet.

$2.50

8. Smoke One  – A reggae type of track for all those weed heads to smoke to. I'm not one of em, so this song doesn't do anything for me.

$.00

9. Alright - The verses and the beat lead this song well on its way to becoming a classic track, and then the hook comes and shits on it all. Great.

$1.50

"This is for them grown folk. And if you don't like it, you can suck my big daddy long stroke." - Mystikal

10. I Get It Started (ft. Method Man & Redman) – A futuristic beat for Method, Doc, and Mystikal to abuse here. Unfortunately, after you hear it once. You'll quickly forget it, and especially the fact that Mystikal is on the track. Rockwilder, you can't bless everyone.

$.50

11. Paper Stack (ft. Shonnie, Beezy)  – This beat is perfect for a hype track, but the female on this song is just awful. Her voice makes me want to dig into my ears with ice picks.

$1.50

12. Go Head – Another Neptune produced track, and I can sadly see this being the second single. This song tells a story of Mystikal getting together with a special woman. How they met, how they lived together, and how it ended. Its another typical Neptune track.

$.80

13. The ReturnOn this track, Mystikal says that its his turn and time to return. I hope he doesn't mean return to the braided up pimp times, cause he's as far away from that now as he could ever be.

$.60

14. That's That Shit  – A bland way to go out with this mediocre cd. If you go by the title, you would think this song would be some off the wall ish. And though Mystikal tries to make it so, he fails miserably.

$.30

The Best Tracks: The Last Word(s):

All Mystikal fans, this should be your last time you can call yourselves this. We all that No Limit was the reason Mystikal had fallen off. When in reality, it was really Mystikal all along. If  you consider yourself a fan even after listening to this cd...well then go right ahead. He is going to be glad to keep all the fans he can.

Album Worth:
